Accommodation
Built to European standards, we offer single and double rooms, as well as our unique ‘Lofts’, which combine a small office space with living quarters. Room includes social internet, 40-channel premium satellite TV, three meals per day, packed meals upon request, daily room cleaning, daily personal laundry, and access to the recreational facilities.

Commercial
Within Iraq Energy City you can rent “ready to move in” office space or opt for custom-designed offices. Petronor also offers a design service to help clients with the design process, and the finished premises can be rented shell-and-core, or fully fitted and furnished.

Industrial Buildings
Pre-engineered steel buildings are available to client specifications for workshop/warehouse configurations. Buildings on site range from 300sqm to about 1,000sqm, and designs have been completed for facilities of more than 10,000sqm. Construction can be from simple single skin structures to advanced insulated facilities constructed with steel frames and completed with variety of materials including sandwich-panels, block, glass or advanced cladding systems.

Yard and Storage Areas
Storage and lay-down yards from up to 100,000sqm are available, and are rented with an associated warehouse or an office building. Yards are ready for use, and may be fenced and gated, fitted with lighting and may also be paved or concreted. Options to expand later allow companies to use only required space immediately. Roving Quick Reaction Force security patrols are included in the rent.

IT Network & Telecommunications
You cannot run an effective business without reliable connectivity. Rest assured that Iraq Energy City utilizes a sophisticated IT network of its kind in Iraq, offering both satellite and terrestrial connectivity; resulting in fast, continuous and uninterrupted internet. Iraq Energy City Internet access is via fiber Internet with triple redundancy in addition to VSAT backup. For offices and accommodation, Internet access can be adjusted to meet any client requirements including VPN access, firewall provisioning, VOIP phone systems, and server hosting. Power
Uninterrupted, clean power is a crucial part of being able to operate in the harsh environment of Iraq, with soaring temperatures in the summer and cold winter days. Iraq Energy City has heavily invested in power generation and distribution to meet the needs of all tenants. Virtually noise-free power is supplied through an advanced 6MW power generation plant managed and operated by Aggreko to ensure a continuous and uninterrupted power supply. Power generated at Iraq Energy City is clean, producing fewer emissions thanks to clean burning plants and advanced load management.

Security
Security is a mission critical component of IEC. Tenants and residents can relax in the knowledge that they live and work in a guarded, gated community. The infrastructure and the supporting processes are constantly reviewed and improved where necessary to enhance the safety and comfort of the community. Security is strict, but fair. As long as security protocols are followed, local employees and visitors have easy access to make sure your business thrives. Security for Iraq Energy City is provided by G4S who provides both expatriate and Iraqi security staff on a 24×7 basis. CCTV is used throughout the facility in strategic locations and monitored via a control room. The main entry, guardhouse and perimeter are manned at all times. In addition, AMK9 provides canine support at the gate as well as vehicle and personnel inspections upon entry into Iraq Energy City. Vehicle parking inside and outside Iraq Energy City is highly controlled.

Medical
Iraq Energy City is proud to be affiliated with the Regional Primary Medical Centre of Southern Iraq’s leading expatriate medical provider, International SOS, giving tenants assurance that medical care at IEC is comparable in quality to that of their home countries. The Regional Medical Centre features an expatriate medical team in one of the most advanced Emergency Room and Intensive Care Units (ICU) in Southern Iraq, together with onsite x-ray capabilities, sonogram facilities, pharmacy and ambulances, both soft skin and armoured. Should a medical evacuation be deemed necessary, the Regional Medical Centre is a mere 20-minute drive from Basra International Airport. Dining
Our residents enjoy fresh, premium produce and a wide range of unique culinary offerings. Iraq Energy City serves some of the best food in southern Iraq, with diverse international menus offering Western, Indian, Asian, Vegetarian and Iraqi cuisine. Special dietary meals are also available on request, as are packed-lunches for those on the go. Every food item on the menu must meet the food service provider’s set of internal quality requirements as well as EU and US food handling standards. A Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) program is also in place, and independent third-party inspection companies are employed to verify the safety and quality of the food and water on a regular basis.
